Censorship does NOT stop piracy; pirates will ALWAYS find a way around the system.
The way to curb online piracy is to make content convenient & accessible LEGALLY, not to shut down an entire web domain because of a link to video of a toddler dancing to Lady Gaga.
- Eliminate that stupid DVD region encoding garbage.
- Broadcast new TV episodes the same day all around the world.
- Release movies on Blu-ray/DVD & digital streaming 4 weeks after theatrical releases.
.99 music downloads proved that the music industry could survive beyond plummeting CD sales. MOVE INTO THE 21st century, media companies. Protecting copyright should not = censoring everything on the Internet without due process.
